Abstract
Methods and apparatus to estimate ventricular volumes are disclosed. An example computer-implemented method includes preparing a sample set using a prior probability model for a left ventricle and a right ventricle and using a likelihood function to assign a weight to each sample within the sample set. The example method also includes, based on the weighted sample set, determining an area of the right ventricle and the left ventricle.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:
- preparing a sample set using a prior probability model for a left ventricle and a right ventricle;
- using a likelihood function to assign a weight to each sample within the sample set;
- and
- based on the weighted sample set, determining an area of the right ventricle and the left ventricle.

- receiving an input associated with an image including a left ventricle and a right ventricle;
- based on the input, automatically identifying a region of interest on the image;
- using the region of interest, preparing a sample set using a prior probability model for the left ventricle and the right ventricle;
- using a likelihood function to assign a weight to each sample within the sample set;
- and
- based on the weighted sample set, determining an area of the left ventricle and the right ventricle.
