Image processing apparatus, image processing system, and computer-readable medium

An image processing apparatus comprising:

• a storage that stores attribute information describing an attribute of the image processing apparatus;
• a receiving unit that receives an instruction to perform image processing, from a terminal;
• a checking unit that checks a condition of the image processing of the instruction received by the receiving unit against the attribute information stored in the storage, and that determines whether or not the image processing apparatus is capable of executing the instruction;
• a request unit that requests attribute information from a second image processing apparatus when the checking unit determines that the image processing apparatus is not capable of executing the instruction;
• an acquiring unit that acquires one or more pieces of attribute information transmitted as a response to the request;
• an extracting unit that extracts attribute information of a second image processing apparatus which is capable of executing the instruction, from the one or more pieces of attribute information acquired by the acquiring unit;
• and
• a notification unit that notifies the terminal of identification information of the second image processing apparatus storing the attribute information extracted by the extracting unit, the terminal having transmitted the instruction.
