Abstract
A method and portable terminal including a foldable display unit are provided. The portable terminal includes the foldable display unit configured to display a screen; and a controller configured to perform at least one of displaying the screen or recognizing a touch input in the foldable display unit, when the foldable display unit is folded.

A portable terminal comprising:
- a foldable display unit configured to display a screen;
- and
- a controller configured to perform at least one of displaying the screen or recognizing a touch input in the foldable display unit, when the foldable display unit is folded.
A method for changing a user interface of a portable terminal, the method comprising:
- detecting a folding of a screen in a foldable display unit;
- and
- performing at least one of displaying the screen or recognizing a touch input in the foldable display unit, in response to the foldable display unit being folded.
