Fluid coupling with lock connection

A method of manufacturing a fluid coupling comprising:

• forming a body with a bore receiving a fluid conductor;
• forming a component with a bore extending from an open end;
• mounting a seal in the bore positioned to seal the component to the fluid conduit extending through the body when the body is mounted in the bore in the component;
• and
• fixedly joining the body to the component by an interference joint between the body and the component.

A method of manufacturing a fluid coupling comprising:

• providing a first fluid carrying component having a bore extending from a first end;
• forming a seal recess in the bore in the first component spaced from the first end;
• mounting a seal member in the seal recess;
• providing a seat on the first component;
• forming a quick connector body for retaining a fluid conduit through the body;
• providing a material receiving cavity in one of the quick connector body and the component;
• providing a seat engaging surface on the body;
• displacing material from one of the first component and the body, when the body is inserted into the first end of bore in the first component, into the material receiving recess in the other of the component and the body to the lock the body to the first component by an interference joint.
