Abstract
A trigger assembly includes a trigger shoe configured to disengage a sear to release a firing mechanism in response to force applied by a user. The trigger assembly further includes a blocking mechanism configured to selectively prevent the release of the firing mechanism in response to a control signal.
Claims1
A firearm comprising:
- a gun including a trigger assembly including:
- a trigger shoe configured to disengage a sear to release a firing mechanism in response to force applied by a user;
- and
- a blocking mechanism configured to selectively prevent the release of the firing mechanism in response to a control signal;
- and
- an optical scope including a control circuit coupled to the blocking mechanism and configured to provide the control signal when a selected target is aligned to a reticle of the optical scope.
