Graphical user interface for advertising system and method relating thereto

A method for receiving content relating to an advertisement in an advertising system, said method comprising the steps of:

• creating an advertisement template having a plurality of fields;
• pre-populating each field in said advertisement template with a corresponding default value, said default value being selected from the group consisting of:
• a dummy entry, a description of the field, an example of an entry for the field, and an instruction for completing the field;
• storing said advertisement template;
• presenting a first set of said fields in an arrangement that corresponds substantially with a publication layout for said advertisement, wherein said arrangement includes at least one of:
• relative positions of the fields, sizes of the fields, and font of each field;
• while at least one of said fields remains pre-populated with said default entry:
• displaying said advertisement template;
• receiving content in one of said plurality of fields;
• and
• storing said advertisement with said received content as a created advertisement;
• and
• storing said created advertisement with said received content as a complete advertisement.

A computer readable storage medium having recorded thereon a computer program for receiving content relating to an advertisement in an advertising system, said computer program comprising code for performing the steps of:

• creating an advertisement template having a plurality of fields;
• pre-populating each field in said advertisement with a corresponding default value, said default value being selected from the group consisting of:
• a dummy entry, a description of the field, an example of an entry for the field, and an instruction for completing the field;
• storing said advertisement template;
• presenting a first set of said fields in an arrangement that corresponds substantially with a publication layout for said advertisement;
• while at least one of said fields remains pre-populated with said default entry:
• receiving content in one of said plurality of fields;
• and
• storing said advertisement template with said received content as a created advertisement;
• and
• storing said created advertisement with said received content as a complete advertisement.
