Abstract
An agricultural harvester (100) has a control system (166) that is configured to control a biomass harvesting rate based upon electronically calculated soil effects.
Claims27
An agricultural harvester (100) comprising:
- a control system (166) configured to control a biomass harvesting rate based upon electronically calculated soil effects.
A method of electronically determining a biomass return rate in a digital microcomputer-based control system (166), comprising the steps of:
- (a) digitally determining one or more soil effects at a location in a field based upon a preliminary biomass return rate;
- (b) digitally comparing each of the one or more determined soil effects for the preliminary biomass return rate at the location in the field with a corresponding threshold value for said each of the one or more determined soil effects;
- and
- (c) digitally revising the preliminary biomass return rate if one or more of the determined soil effects does not meet its corresponding threshold soil effect in step (b).
