Abstract
A detergent composition comprising a polypeptide having protease activity is disclosed. The composition may be used in laundry or hard surface cleaning such as automated dish wash, and it has improved performance compared with a commercial protease.

A detergent composition comprising one or more detergent components and a polypeptide having protease activity, wherein the polypeptide having protease activity is selected from the group consisting of:
- a) a polypeptide having at least 80% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- (b) a polypeptide encoded by a polynucleotide having at least 80% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide coding sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 1;
- (c) a variant comprising a substitution, deletion, and/or insertion of one or more (several) amino acids of the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein said variant having at least 80% sequence identity but less than 100% sequence identity to the mature polypeptide of SEQ ID NO 2;
- and
- (d) a fragment of a polypeptide of (a), (b) or (c) that has protease activity.
