Abstract
A method of providing current operation data for a plurality of data generating components connected to a data communications network. The network may include input units that generate data and subscribing units that require the generated data to function. The generated data may be formatted or processed in a manner so that it can be used by the subscribing units. The formatted and processed data may then be supplied to the subscribing units.
Claims15
A method of providing current operation data for a plurality of data generating components connected to a data communications network of an aircraft and sending at least one data frame having an identifier and corresponding raw data, the method comprising:
- a) generating a current value table (CVT) comprising reserving in memory connected to the communications network, including at least one circular buffer, a memory address allocation for each identifier and corresponding raw data;
- b) receiving a data frame over the network from at least one of the data generating components;
- c) parsing the received data frame into the identifier and corresponding raw data;
- d) determining, by way of a software look up table, the reserved memory address for the parsed identifier;
- e) updating the determined reserved memory address with the parsed raw data by writing the parsed raw data to the reserved memory address;
- and
- f) repeating a)-f) for subsequent data frames for the data generating components whereby the CVT maintains the most up-to-date data.
