Abstract
There is provided an image sensor including at least three pixel transfer control signal lines, on a per line basis, configured to control exposure start and end timings of a pixel in order for exposure timings of a plurality of the pixels constituting one line in a specific direction to have at least three patterns.
Claims20
An image sensor comprising:
- a pixel unit that has a plurality of pixel groups, each of the plurality of pixel groups including at least two photoelectric conversion elements that are arranged in a column direction and share a floating diffusion element;
- and
- wherein a first photoelectric conversion element has a first exposure time and a second photoelectric conversion element that is in a same row as the first photoelectric conversion element and that is in a different pixel group than the first photoelectric conversion element has a second exposure time which is different from the first exposure time.
An image sensor comprising:
- a pixel unit that has a plurality of pixel groups, each of the plurality of pixel groups including at least two photoelectric conversion elements that are arranged in a column direction and share a floating diffusion element;
- and
- wherein a first photoelectric conversion element has its exposure controlled according to a first control pulse timing pattern,
- a second photoelectric conversion element that is in a same row as the first photoelectric conversion element has its exposure controlled according to a second control pulse timing pattern, and
- a third photoelectric conversion element that is in the same row as the first photoelectric conversion element has its exposure controlled according to a third control pulse timing pattern.
