Accessing application services from forms

A computer program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium, the computer readable medium having stored thereon a sequence of instructions which, when executed by a processor causes the processor to execute a process, the process comprising:

• receiving, by a native computer system, a service request comprising at least one form field identifier, wherein the service request originates from a non-native system;
• processing the service request on the native computer system using the form field identifier to identify a form stored at a location accessible to the native system;
• delivering the service request to a native application that is configured to process at least a portion of the identified form;
• performing processing within the native application to produce results from the native application;
• and
• sending at least a portion of the results from the native application to the non-native system using the at least one form field identifier.

A computer system comprising:

• a receiving unit hosted within a native computer system configured to receive a service request comprising at least one form field identifier, wherein the service request originates from a non-native system for further processing of the service request on the native computer system using the form field identifier to identify a form stored at a location accessible to the native system;
• a middleware component serving to deliver the service request to a native application that is configured to process at least a portion of the identified form;
• and
• a native application module to perform processing within the native application to produce results from the native application, wherein the native application sends at least a portion of the results from the native application to the non-native system using the at least one form field identifier.
