System and methods for generating and providing offers to a user

One or more non-transitory computer-readable media that includes code for execution and when executed by one or more processors is operable to perform operations for providing offers to a user through a user interface, the operations comprising:

• providing a first offer having a first price to a user through the user interface;
• receiving a first user input indicating an acceptance to the first offer through the user interface;
• transmitting a first request to a payment processor to process a first payment from a payment account of the user for the first price;
• receiving a first message from the payment processor in response to the first request indicating that the first request cannot be completed;
• processing the first message to generate a second offer having a second price, wherein the second price is lower than the first price;
• and
• providing the second offer to the user through the user interface.

A computer system for providing offers to a user, comprising:

• a storage for storing computer program instructions;
• one or more processors for executing the computer program instructions for providing an application for receiving one or more user inputs from the user through a user interface, the application configured for
• providing a first offer having a first price to a user through the user interface;
• receiving a first user input indicating an acceptance to the first offer through the user interface;
• transmitting a first request to a payment processor to process a first payment from a payment account of the user for the first price;
• receiving a first message from the payment processor in response to the first request that the first request cannot be completed;
• the one or more processors for executing the computer program instructions further for providing an offer engine communicably connected to the application, said offer engine configured for processing the first message to generate a second offer having a second price, wherein the second price is lower than the first price;
• wherein the application is further configured to provide the second offer to the user through the user interface.
