Abstract
A method to provide electrical stimulation therapy to stabilize ventricular rate of a heart during episodes of atrial fibrillation. The stimulation therapy may be a plurality of stimulation pulses delivered to the AV node during the AV node refractory period following the sensing of an atrial event.
Claims4
In an implantable cardiac stimulation device, a method comprising:
- sensing atrial activity of a heart corresponding to an AF episode;
- and
- responsive to the sensing of an AF episode, initiating delivery of a plurality of stimulation pulses to the AV node of the heart during an AV nodal refractory period following the sensed atrial event.
