Abstract
An image forming apparatus including an image forming unit configured to form an image on a paper with pigment, a heating unit configured to heat the pigment and the paper from one or both surfaces of the paper, a microwave generator, and a microwave applicator arranged downstream of the heating unit and configured to heat the pigment and the paper by applying microwaves generated by the microwave generator.

An image forming apparatus comprising:
- an image forming unit configured to form an image on a paper with pigment;
- a heating unit configured to heat the pigment and the paper from one or both surfaces of the paper;
- a microwave generator;
- and
- a microwave applicator arranged downstream of the heating unit and configured to heat the pigment and the paper by applying microwaves generated by the microwave generator.
