Abstract
New wireless power transmission techniques are disclosed. In some aspects of the invention, an ambient wave or field is used as a scaffold for building new, superposed waveforms, using an additional, intermediate transmitter or resonator. In other aspects of the invention, devices incorporating such intermediate transmitters or resonators are awarded monetary credit and offsets by a management system, according to their contribution to power transmission to a power-receiving device.
Claims8
A method for transmitting power wirelessly, comprising the following steps:
- determining an ambient wave or force field present in an environment;
- analyzing parts of said ambient wave or field at a test location;
- determining the location of a transmitter or resonator where said parts will be located at a future time;
- actuating said transmitter or resonator at the future time, to enhance said ambient wave or field, increasing its strength or efficacy for transferring power at a wireless power receiving device;
- receiving power from said enhanced ambient wave or field at said receiving device.
2 more elements
An apparatus for transmitting power wirelessly, comprising:
- at least one first sensor configured to sense an ambient wave located in an environment surrounding the apparatus;
- a transmitter controlled by a control system, and capable of transmitting an additional wave superposable with said ambient wave;
- a control system able to communicate with and control said at least one first sensor and said transmitter, and capable of performing operations to analyze said ambient wave and determine superposed waveforms built from said ambient wave that may be created at the location of said transmitter and at the time when parts of said ambient wave will be at said location of said transmitter;
- wherein said superposed waveforms enhance the conversion of wireless power at a receiving device.
