Systems, methods and apparatus for transmitting data over a voice channel of a wireless telephone network

An entertainment device comprising:

• an input module to receive video content from a content source;
• a processor communicatively coupled to the input module, the processor configured to format the video content for presentation on a presentation device and further configured to aggregate data associated with the video content;
• and
• an interface module communicatively coupled to the processor and communicatively coupleable to a wireless telephone, the interface module configured to pass data modulated into an audio signal for transmission across a voice channel of a wireless telephone network communicatively coupled between the wireless telephone and a remote server.

A television distribution system comprising:

• a transmission network communicatively coupled to a content source, the transmission network configured to broadcast video content received from the content source;
• a call processing system configured to:
• receive phone calls that pass user information of users of the television distribution system;
• extract the user information;
• and
• aggregate the user information;
• and
• a television receiver configured to:
• receive the video content from the transmission network;
• format the video content for presentation on a presentation device;
• generate the first user information associated with the video content for a user of the television receiver;
• communicatively couple to a wireless telephone arranged to initiate a phone call to the call processing system;
• generate an audio signal that represents the first user information;
• and
• communicate the audio signal to the wireless telephone, wherein the wireless telephone is directed to communicate the audio signal to the call processing system over a voice channel of the wireless telephone network during the phone call.
