Abstract
The present invention provides an SPR sensor cell having very excellent detection sensitivity and an SPR sensor. The SPR sensor cell of the present invention includes a detection unit and a sample mounting portion adjacent to the detection unit, wherein the detection unit includes an under-cladding layer, a core layer formed so that at least a part of the core layer is adjacent to the under-cladding layer, a metal layer covering the core layer, and a protective layer formed between the core layer and the metal layer; and the protective layer is formed of a material having a band gap (Eg) of more than 1.0 eV and less than 7.0 eV.
Claims8
An SPR sensor cell, comprising:
- a detection unit;
- and
- a sample mounting portion adjacent to the detection unit,
- wherein
- the detection unit includes an under-cladding layer, a core layer formed so that at least a part of the core layer is adjacent to the under-cladding layer, a metal layer covering the core layer, and a protective layer formed between the core layer and the metal layer;
- and
- the protective layer is formed of a material having a band gap (Eg) of more than 1.0 eV and less than 7.0 eV.
