Abstract
A plant treatment method including, by a computing system: identifying a plant, in situ, within a geographic area; identifying an interleaf insertion point relative to leaves of the plant; positioning a treatment mechanism at the insertion point; and operating a treatment mechanism to apply a fluid treatment to a plant.

A plant treatment method comprising:
- automatically identifying a plant in situ within a geographic area;
- identifying a plant feature of the plant for fluid treatment application;
- selecting a treatment position based on a position of the plant feature;
- selecting a set of operation parameters for a treatment mechanism configured to apply the fluid treatment, the set of operation parameters selected to optimize a geographic area output parameter based on an instantaneous plant parameter measurement for the plant and historical measurements for the plurality of plants;
- positioning a treatment mechanism having an active area at the treatment position;
- and
- automatically applying fluid treatment to the plant by operating the treatment mechanism in a treatment mode according to the set of operation parameters.
