Navigation Device, Route Guidance Method, and Program

A route guidance method in a navigation device, comprising,

• a current position calculating step of calculating a current position of a moving object,
• a recommended route searching step of searching for a recommended route to a destination,
• a guidance point setting step of setting a guidance point on the recommended route, and
• a guidance information announcing step of announcing predetermined guidance information, when a moving object reaches the guidance point, wherein,
• in the case where a predetermined condition is satisfied on a road provided with a carpool lane, the guidance point setting step sets the guidance point for announcing the guidance information from the road to a branch road, at a position before the guidance point that is supposed to be set on a road not provided with the carpool lane.

A program for allowing a computer to function as a navigation device, further allowing the computer to execute,

• a current position calculating step of calculating a current position of a moving object,
• a recommended route searching step of searching for a recommended route to a destination,
• a guidance point setting step of setting a guidance point on the recommended route, and
• a guidance information announcing step of announcing predetermined guidance information, when a moving object reaches the guidance point, wherein,
• in the case where a predetermined condition is satisfied on a road provided with a carpool lane, the guidance point setting step sets the guidance point for announcing the guidance information from the road to a branch road, at a position before the guidance point that is supposed to be set on a road not provided with the carpool lane.
