Claims16
A lacrosse pocket comprising:
- a preformed composite material including an outer edge for attaching to a lacrosse head and an interior channel within the outer edge having a desired concave shape and depth;
- wherein the interior channel, for receiving and releasing a lacrosse ball, permanently maintains the desired concave shape and depth.
A method for manufacturing a pre-formed lacrosse pocket for attaching to a lacrosse head, the method comprising the steps of:
- laminating a second material to the top and bottom of a first material to create a composite material;
- heating the composite material;
- and
- pressing a mold having a desired concave shape and depth into the heated composite material, thereby forming an interior channel for receiving and releasing a lacrosse ball;
- wherein the formed interior channel permanently maintains the desired concave shape and depth.
