Abstract
A personal air quality monitoring system worn or carried by a user. Such system can be used to monitor the local air quality and alert a user should air quality deteriorate below some acceptable desired or configurable threshold.
Claims1
A personal particle counter comprising:
- a light source that provides light to a reflector;
- a photo-detector that detects the light reflected from the reflector and outputs an electrical signal;
- a threshold comparator that receives the electrical signal to produce an output;
- and
- a microcontroller that receives the output from the threshold comparator and processes particle pulses to count particles in the ambient environment.
