Claims19
An isolated compound of formula (III):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (III):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (III),
- the compound of formula (III) obtained by a process comprising the step of
- a. forming an aqueous solution comprising tazobactam acid and ceftolozane sulfate in an amount providing 1,000 mg of ceftolozane active per 500 mg of tazobactam acid in the aqueous solution;
- b. lyophilizing the aqueous solution of step (a) to obtain a lyophilized composition comprising a compound of formula (III);
- and
- c. formulating the lyophilized composition as a pharmaceutical composition for parenteral delivery.
A pharmaceutical composition formulated for parenteral administration for the treatment of complicated intra-abdominal infections or complicated urinary tract infections, the pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (III) in a lyophilized composition obtained by lyophilizing an aqueous solution comprising tazobactam and an amount of ceftolozane sulfate containing 1,000 mg of ceftolozane active per 500 mg of tazobactam acid.
