Abstract
A battery pack including a heat sink for improved heat dissipation.
Claims21
A battery pack comprising:
- a housing defining a cavity for receiving at least one battery cell, the housing having a first side providing a connection to a tool and a second side opposed to the first side, the second side having an opening to the cavity, and
- a heat sink positioned in the opening such that an interior surface of the heat sink is exposed to the cavity and an exterior surface of the heat sink is exposed to ambient air outside the housing.
A battery pack comprising:
- a housing defining a cavity for receiving at least one battery cell, the housing having a first side providing a connection to a tool and a second side, opposed to the first side, the second side having a mesh portion providing a plurality of openings between the cavity and ambient air outside the housing, and
- a heat sink in the cavity positioned adjacent to the mesh portion.
A battery pack, as set forth in claim 14, wherein the thermally conductive element is a thermal adhesive.
A battery pack comprising:
- a housing defining a cavity for receiving at least one battery cell, the housing having a first side having a mesh portion providing a plurality of openings between the cavity and ambient air outside the housing, and
- a heat sink in the cavity positioned adjacent to the mesh portion.
