Abstract
A sliding ramp can include at least two platforms. The platforms of the sliding ramp can be slidably connected to provide a storage position and an operational position. The platforms can include male and female members. The male and female members can facilitate the slidable relationship between the two platforms.

A sliding ramp comprising:
- a first platform;
- and
- a second platform, the second platform slidably coupled to the first platform.
A sliding ramp comprising:
- a first platform having a first end and a second end;
- and
- a second platform having a third end and a fourth end,
- wherein the first platform is coupled to the second platform to facilitate an extended position in which the first end of the first platform is adjacent the fourth end of the second platform,
- wherein the first platform is coupled to the second platform to facilitate a storage position in which the first end of the first platform is adjacent the third end of the second platform.

A method of using a sliding ramp to load or unload cargo from a vehicle comprising the following steps:
- providing a ramp that includes a first platform and a second platform, wherein the second platform is slidably coupled to and substantially overlies the first platform;
- attaching the ramp to a vehicle;
- slidably moving the second platform relative to the first platform until the second platform does not overlie the first platform and the two platforms form a substantially continuous and co-planar walking surface;
- using the ramp to load or unload cargo from the vehicle;
- and
- slidably moving the second platform relative to the first platform until the second platform substantially overlies the first platform.
