Battery Housing with Single-Side Electrical Interconnects

A battery housing comprising:

• a battery frame containing a plurality of battery cells, each battery cell having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, each battery cell including:
• a positive terminal located at the first end of the battery cell,
• a conducting structure located at the first end of the battery cell and electrically isolated from the positive terminal, and
• a negative terminal located at the second end of the battery cell, the negative terminal electrically coupled to the conducting structure,
• wherein at least some of the battery cells are oriented in the battery frame so that the first ends of the battery cells are aligned with each other;
• and
• a plurality of interconnects electrically connecting the battery cells, the interconnects making electrical connections to the positive terminals and to the conducting structures of the battery cells.
