Managing Stored Content

A method, comprising:

• monitoring, by a computing device, a media source to identify one or more terms that are more frequently mentioned than other terms;
• checking a list of content that has been recorded for a first user's consumption, but which have not yet been consumed by the first user, for one or more content items that match the identified one or more terms;
• and
• sending the first user a message to consume the matching content items.

A method, comprising:

• determining that a user's digital video recordings should be adjusted;
• identifying one of the user's recordings that the user has not yet watched;
• evaluating one or more relocation criteria for the identified unwatched recording to identify a relocation option for the identified unwatched recording;
• displaying a list of the user's recordings, wherein the list includes one or more relocation options identified for corresponding unwatched content among the user's recordings.
