Abstract
A first proximity-based device at a content player receives content modification data from a second proximity-based device within a product and/or a product package when the product or product package is placed within a proximity to the first proximity-based device. A processor at the content player performs modified playback of media content based on the content modification data.
Claims20
An apparatus comprising:
- a reader that receives content modification data from a proximity-based device in a product or a product package when the product or product package is placed within a proximity to the reader;
- and
- a processor that modifies playback of an original media content based on the content modification data.
A method comprising:
- receiving, with a first proximity-based device at a content player, content modification data from a second proximity-based device within a product or product package when the product or product package is placed within a proximity to the first proximity-based device;
- and
- performing, with a processor at the content player, modified playback of media content based on the content modification data.
A computer program product comprising a computer readable storage device having a computer readable program stored thereon, wherein the computer readable program when executed on a computer causes the computer to:
- receive, with a content player proximity-based device at a content player, content modification data from a proximity-based device within a product and/or a product package when the product and/or product package is placed within a proximity to the content player proximity-based device;
- and
- perform, with a processor at the content player, modified playback of media content based on the content modification data.
