Abstract
A method for reporting power headroom-related information for a plurality of aggregated carriers. The method includes reporting in a bitmap the power headroom-related information for a number of the aggregated carriers that is less than or equal to the total number of aggregated carriers, wherein the power headroom-related information is one of a power headroom for at least one of the aggregated carriers and a path loss for at least one of the aggregated carriers.
Claims35
A method comprising:
- transmitting in a media access control (MAC) control element power headroom-related information for each aggregated carrier of a plurality of carriers;
- and
- transmitting in the MAC control element a bitmap, each of the plurality of carriers corresponding to a bit in the bitmap, one value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is included in the MAC control element, and another value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is not included in the MAC control element.
A user agent (UA) configured to:
- transmit in a media access control (MAC) control element power headroom-related information for each aggregated carrier of a plurality of carriers, and
- transmit in the MAC control element a bitmap, each of the plurality of carriers corresponding to a bit in the bitmap, one value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is included in the MAC control element, and another value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is not included in the MAC control element.
A computer medium storing computer readable instructions executable by a processor to implement a method, the method comprising:
- transmitting in a media access control (MAC) control element power headroom-related information for each aggregated carrier of a plurality of carriers;
- and
- transmitting in the MAC control element a bitmap, each of the plurality of carriers corresponding to a bit in the bitmap, one value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is included in the MAC control element, and another value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is not included in the MAC control element.
A method comprising:
- receiving in a media access control (MAC) control element power headroom-related information for each aggregated carrier of a plurality of carriers;
- and
- receiving in the MAC control element a bitmap, each of the plurality of carriers corresponding to a bit in the bitmap, one value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is included in the MAC control element, and another value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is not included in the MAC control element.
An access node configured to:
- receive in a media access control (MAC) control element power headroom-related information for each aggregated carrier of a plurality of carriers,
- receive in the MAC control element a bitmap, each of the plurality of carriers corresponding to a bit in the bitmap, one value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is included in the MAC control element, and another value in the bitmap indicating that the power headroom-related information for a corresponding carrier is not included in the MAC control element.
