A compound of the formula I:
- wherein
- R is CH2, NH, NHCO, S or 0;
- Y is a linking group;
- and
- Z is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, —OH, —SH, —S-acyl;
- —O-lower alkyl, halogen, —NH2, epoxy, maleimidyl, haloacetamide, carboxyl, activated carboxyl, an immunogenic carrier, and a label, and
- salts thereof.
