Abstract
A portable subscriber access unit includes a wireless transceiver and a processor. The processor controls the transceiver, determines a mobility state of the access unit, and determines a data packet content type. The transceiver transmits the mobility state, receives service rights based on the mobility state, and transmits the data packet on a condition that the content type is allowed by the service rights.

A method performed in a wireless transceiver, the method comprising:
- detecting a mobility state of the wireless transceiver;
- based on the detected mobility state, limiting transmission of content over a communication link.
A subscriber access unit comprising:
- a processor configured to detect a mobility state of the subscriber unit;
- the processor further configured to, based on the detected mobility state, limit transmission of content over a communication link.
