Abstract
A code that stores a history of what has been done to it and where it has been. The history can be stored in a local memory. The code can be changed based on that history.
Claims16
A system comprising:
- a substrate having a scannable code thereon and also having circuitry on the substrate that detects scanning of the code and wirelessly communicates information associated with the scanning of the code to an external unit which is external from the substrate.
A system comprising:
- a substrate having a code thereon, where said code is readable by an external code reading device, and said substrate also having an RFID device thereon, where said RFID device is associated with the code and determines information indicating that the code has been read by the external device.
A substrate, comprising:
- an optically readable code, on said substrate;
- a photocell on said substrate, said photocell detecting the reading of said optically readable code, and producing an output;
- and
- circuitry, receiving said output from said photocell, and producing an output signal that is wirelessly communicated to another device, based on said output from said photocell.
