Abstract
According to one embodiment, a moving picture coding apparatus and a moving picture coding method capable of further improving coding efficiency, the moving picture coding apparatus comprises a controller. The controller performs control such that coded data are created using an inter-prediction structure in which the maximum number of consecutive B-pictures in a GOP is set to “N”, and the number of layers in a reference relationship between the B-pictures is set to “L”.
Claims6
A moving picture coding apparatus comprising a controller configured to perform control such that coded data are created using an inter-prediction structure in which a maximum count of consecutive B-pictures in a group of pictures (GOP) is set to “N”, and a count of layers in a reference relationship between the B-pictures is set to “L”.
A moving picture coding method for creating coded data using an inter-prediction structure in which a maximum count of consecutive B-pictures in a GOP is set to “N”, and a count of layers in a reference relationship between the B-pictures is set to “L”.
