Methods for producing a maize plant that comprises crossing hybrid maize variety X05B916 with another maize plant. Methods for producing a maize plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into X05B916 through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the maize seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. This invention relates to the maize variety X05B916, the seed, the plant produced from the seed, and variants, mutants, and minor modifications of maize variety X05B916. This invention further relates to methods for producing maize varieties derived from maize variety X05B916.
A seed of hybrid maize variety X05B916, wherein representative seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1CJB with a second plant of variety PHW2Z, and wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1CJB and PHW2Z have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-______ and PTA-______, respectively.
A converted seed of hybrid maize variety X05B916 further comprising a locus conversion, wherein said seed is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1 CJB with a second plant of variety PHW2Z;
A hybrid maize plant expressing all the physiological and morphological trait characteristics of hybrid maize variety X05B916, wherein seed of said hybrid maize plant is produced by crossing a first plant of variety PH1CJB with a second plant of variety PHW2Z and wherein representative seed of said varieties PH1 CJB and PHW2Z have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-______ and PTA-______, respectively.
