Abstract
An apparatus includes a memory, a processor coupled to the memory, a power supply device that supplies power to the processor, and a signal generation circuit that, when overcurrent of the power supply device is detected, generates a first signal instructing suppression of power consumption of the processor, and outputs the first signal to the processor.

An information processing apparatus comprising:
- a processor;
- a power supply device that supplies power to the processor;
- and
- a signal generation circuit that, when overcurrent of the power supply device is detected, generates a first signal, and transmits the first signal to the processor,
- wherein, the processor is configured to suppress power consumption of the processor based on the first signal.
A method of controlling power consumption of an information processing apparatus that includes a power supply device and a processing module, the method comprising:
- when overcurrent of the power supply device is detected, generating a first signal;
- transmitting the first signal to the processing module;
- and
- suppressing the power consumption of the processing module based on the first signal.
A storage medium storing a program that causes a processor to execute operations, the operations comprising:
- detecting overcurrent of a power supply device;
- and
- transmitting a first signal to a first processing module;
- and
- suppressing the power consumption of the first processing module based on the first signal.
