Buyer interface for a gift transaction system

A method implemented by a processor comprising:

• recording a gift card identifier associated with a gift item;
• receiving a buyer identification of a gift buyer and a recipient identification of a gift recipient via a web portal, provided by a server system, to associate with the gift card identifier;
• receiving a shipping address of the recipient via the web portal;
• and
• sending a payment request to an electronic device associated with the buyer identification in response to receiving the shipping address.

A method implemented by a processor comprising:

• determining gift intent of a buyer account to send a gift item in a gift transaction;
• generating a buyer gift interface to customize a gift package including the gift item;
• generating an interactive gift notification accessible based on authentication;
• associating a gift identifier to the interactive gift notification;
• and
• receiving a shipping address from a recipient accessing the interactive gift notification.

A gift transaction system comprising:

• a gift transaction server including a processor and a non-transitory storage medium having modules executable by the processor, the modules including:
• a buyer interface module configured to:
• determine gift intent of a buyer account to send a gift item in a gift transaction;
• generate a buyer gift interface to receive a recipient contact entry of a recipient in response to the determined gift intent;
• and
• generate an interactive gift notification to the recipient contact entry to receive a confirmation of the gift transaction;
• and
• a merchant back-end interface module configured to send a notification to a merchant store to ship a gift package to the recipient in response to receiving the confirmation.
