Abstract
A method and system may provide gesture recognition techniques. An energy aggregation value may be determined for data corresponding to a gesture using principal component analysis. Based at least in part on the energy aggregation value, it may be determined whether the gesture is a one or two dimensional gesture.

An article comprising a machine-readable storage medium containing instructions that when executed enable a system to:
- determine an energy aggregation value for data corresponding to a gesture using principal component analysis;
- and
- determine whether the gesture is a one or two dimensional gesture based at least in part on the energy aggregation value.
A gesture recognition system comprising:
- a device with:
- a logic component;
- and
- a gesture control analyzer operative on the logic component to:
- determine an energy aggregation value for data corresponding to a gesture using principal component analysis;
- and
- determine whether the gesture is a one or two dimensional gesture based at least in part on the energy aggregation value.
