Abstract
The present disclosure generally relates to filter media including glass fibers. The fiber characteristics (e.g., composition, dimensions) are selected to impart the desired solubility, filtration and mechanical properties so that the filter media may be used in the desired application.

A filter media comprising:
- a fiber web including a plurality of glass fibers having a BaO content of greater than 7.2 wt % and an alumina content of less than 3.0 wt %.
A filter media comprising:
- A fiber web including a plurality of glass fibers having a BaO content of greater than 7.2 wt %, an alumina content of less than 10.0 wt % and a B2O3 content of greater than 5.0 wt %.
