Abstract
A combination couch trundle bed wherein the trundle bed mattress serves as support for the couch cushions when the trundle bed is concealed within the couch and the trundle bed can be pulled out without having to remove any of the couch cushions. Such a combination results in a couch bed with the look of a traditional couch and the comfort of a traditional couch and a traditional bed thereby overcoming the deficiencies of existing couch bed combinations.

A combination couch and trundle bed wherein:
- the couch seating cushions rest on a layer of mesh material that in turn rests on the trundle bed mattress when the trundle bed is concealed within the couch;
- the layer of mesh material stretches/flexes to allow the trundle bed mattress to support the seating cushions when a person sits or lies on the couch;
- the mesh layer is made of material that cannot be felt while sitting or lying on the couch cushions;
- the trundle bed can be pulled out without having to remove any of the couch cushions;
- and
- the trundle bed can be used without having to unfold the mattress.
