Glenoid vault fixation

A method comprising:

• embedding a bone engaging member in a bone;
• engaging a reception member with the bone engaging member, wherein the reception member comprises a reception member inside surface comprising a first portion defining a tapered configuration, and the reception member inside surface comprises at least one ratchet interface;
• engaging a post with the reception member, wherein at least one of the tapered configuration and the ratchet interface interfaces with a corresponding feature provided in the post;
• and
• engaging an articulating component with the reception member, wherein the post connects the articulating component with the reception member.

A system comprising:

• a bone engaging means configured to be embedded in a bone;
• a reception means comprising an inside surface, wherein the inside surface is configured to provide an interference fit and a snap fit;
• a connecting means configured to establish at least one of interference fit and snap fit with the reception means;
• and
• an articulating means configured to be engaged with the reception member using at least the connecting means.
