A water-reducing admixture for concrete, comprising
- a first composition comprising
- at least one calcium lignosulfonate;
- and a second composition comprising
- at least one vinyl-copolymer, and at least one sugar.

A method for preparing a concrete comprising the steps:
- admixing a concrete mix with a first aqueous composition comprising water and at least one calcium lignosulfonate;
- and
- admixing the mix obtained with a second aqueous composition comprising water, at least one vinyl-copolymer, and at least one sugar.
