Abstract
A battery includes a cylindrical battery case and an electrode group including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator. The electrode group and the battery case define a space communicated from a top to a bottom, and one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode has a current collecting terminal that extends from the electrode group in a direction away from a center axis of the battery case and is in contact with a bottom surface of the battery case.

A cylindrical battery, comprising:
- a cylindrical battery case;
- and
- an electrode group including a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator, wherein
- the electrode group and the battery case define a space communicated from a top to a bottom therebetween, and
- one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode has a current collecting terminal that extends from the electrode group in a direction away from a center axis of the battery case and is in contact with a bottom surface of the battery case.
