Abstract
A system for decoding a video bitstream includes receiving a frame of the video that includes at least one slice and at least one tile and where each of the at least one slice and the at least one tile are not all aligned with one another.
Claims7
A method for decoding a coded video sequence comprising:
- (a) receiving a video syntax set that includes information applicable to said coded video sequence, where said coded video sequence includes a plurality of layers of coded video frames;
- (b) wherein said video syntax set includes a dependency flag indicating one or more direct dependencies between said plurality of layers of said coded video sequence;
- (c) wherein said direct dependency specifies whether a particular layer indexed by a second index value is a direct reference layer for another layer indexed by a first index value.
