Abstract
A method and an apparatus for providing a medical image from volume data for an object are provided. The method includes: determining characteristics of a light source that radiates light onto the object which is located in a virtual space, based on a received user input; generating a three-dimensional (3D) image by performing a rendering on the volume data, based on the determined characteristics of the light source; and displaying the generated 3D image.
Claims21
A method of providing a medical image from volume data for an object, the method comprising:
- determining characteristics of a light source that radiates light onto the object which is located in a virtual space, based on a received user input;
- generating a three-dimensional (3D) image by performing a rendering on the volume data, based on the determined characteristics of the light source;
- and
- displaying the generated 3D image.
An apparatus for providing a medical image, the apparatus comprising:
- a data acquisition unit that acquires volume data for an object;
- a receiver that receives a user input;
- an image generation unit that determines characteristics of a light source radiating light onto the object located in a virtual space based on the received user input and generates a 3D image by performing a rendering on the volume data based on the determined characteristics of the light source;
- and
- a display unit that displays the generated 3D image.
