Abstract
A label (10) designed to provide information about an object associated with the label, for example, which may be associated with an item of clothing or other item, includes an electronic device or circuit (12), in particular an RFID device or transponder, enclosed between a first and a second protective layer (16, 18), the protective layers including a core of fabric (20a) with a layer of elastomeric material (20b) associated with it.

A method for making a label (10) designed to provide information about an object associated with the label, the latter containing an electronic device or circuit (12), enclosed between a first and a second protective layer (16, 18) of the label, characterised in that use is made of at least one protective layer (16, 18) which comprises a core of fabric (20a) with a layer of elastomeric material (20b) associated with it.
