Claims16
A food slicer comprising:
- an upper portion having at least one pushing head with at least one pusher, wherein the pushing head is located at a distal end of the upper portion;
- a lower portion having at least one slicing head with at least one blade and one opening, wherein the slicing head is located at a distal end of the lower portion;
- a connection portion coupled to a proximal end of the upper portion and a proximal end of the distal portion;
- and
- at least two deflectable elements located on the slicing head extending from an outer rim of the slicing head towards a center of the slicing head, the deflectable elements centering food placed in the slicing head over a center of the slicing head,
- wherein the at least one pusher deflects at least one of the deflectable elements when the food slicer is moved to the closed position to allow sliced food to pass through the slicing head.

A food slicer comprising:
- an upper portion having a pushing head with a plurality of pushers, wherein the pushing head is located at a distal end of the upper portion;
- a lower portion;
- and
- a connection portion coupled to a proximal end of the upper portion and a proximal end of the lower portion,
- wherein a distal end of the lower portion has a slicing head comprising:
- at least two blades;
- and
- at least two openings;
- wherein the plurality of pushers extend through the at least two openings when the food slicer is in a closed position, and
- wherein the at least two blades are concave for forming a cup shaped region to maintain food over a center of the slicing head.
