Abstract
The suggestions of objects in a real-time collaboration tool can be accomplished by first forming a first vector representing an object utilized in the real-time collaboration tool. The vector can then be compared to a plurality of vectors representing a plurality of objects stored in a database to locate one or more vectors similar to the first vector. One or more of the plurality of objects stored in the database can be recommended to a user of the real-time collaboration tool based on the comparing.
Claims18
A method of suggesting objects in a real-time collaboration tool, comprising:
- forming a first vector representing an object utilized in the real-time collaboration tool;
- comparing the vector to a plurality of vectors representing a plurality of objects stored in a database to locate one or more vectors similar to the first vector;
- and
- recommending one or more of the plurality of objects stored in the database to a user of the real-time collaboration tool based on the comparing.
A method of suggesting objects in a real-time collaboration tool, comprising:
- monitoring a virtual workplace for changes, additions, or deletions of objects in the virtual workspace, the virtual workspace comprising an area where a plurality of users can collaborate on documents, activities, and tasks in real-time using the real-time collaboration tool;
- recommending one or more objects to be added to the virtual workspace based on objects contained in the virtual workspace;
- based on changes, additions, or deletions to objects in the virtual workspace, dynamically updating the recommendations of one or more objects to be added to the virtual workspace.
An in-memory database management system comprising:
- main memory;
- and
- an index server configured to persist data in the main memory and to receive database commands from one or more clients, the database commands including a request for a cosine calculation on one or more vectors in the main memory, the index server further configured to perform the cosine calculation in order to derive an object in a real-time collaboration tool to recommend to a user of the real-time collaboration tool.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations of performing suggesting objects in a real-time collaboration tool, the method comprising:
- forming a first vector representing an object utilized in the real-time collaboration tool;
- comparing the vector to a plurality of vectors representing a plurality of objects stored in a database to locate one or more vectors similar to the first vector.
- recommending one or more of the plurality of objects stored in the database to a user of the real-time collaboration tool based on the comparing.
