Abstract
A first data set is derived from a second data set. The first data set is stored in a database of derived data sets. The second data set is updated without updating the first data set, such that the first data set and the second data are inconsistent. The first data set is deleted or updated during batch processing of the database of the derived data sets.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- deriving a first plurality of data sets from a second plurality of data sets, the first plurality of data sets comprising a first data set, the second plurality of data sets comprising a second data set, the first data set being derived from the second data set during the deriving operation;
- storing the first data set in a database comprising the first plurality of data sets;
- updating the second data set without modifying the first data set stored in the database;
- batch processing the database to determine whether the first plurality of data sets is consistent with the second plurality of data sets;
- while batch processing the database, determining that the first data set is inconsistent with the updated second data set;
- responsive to determining that the first data set is inconsistent with the updated second data set while batch processing the database, updating the first data set to be consistent with the updated second data set or deleting the first data set;
- wherein the method is performed by at least one device comprising a hardware processor.

A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions which, when executed by one or more hardware processors, is configured to perform operations comprising:
- deriving a first plurality of data sets from a second plurality of data sets, the first plurality of data sets comprising a first data set, the second plurality of data sets comprising a second data set, the first data set being derived from the second data set during the deriving operation;
- storing the first data set in a database comprising the first plurality of data sets;
- updating the second data set without modifying the first data set stored in the database;
- batch processing the database to determine whether the first plurality of data sets is consistent with the second plurality of data sets;
- while batch processing the database, determining that the first data set is inconsistent with the updated second data set;
- responsive to determining that the first data set is inconsistent with the updated second data set while batch processing the database, updating the first data set to be consistent with the updated second data set or deleting the first data set.
