Systems and methods for management of risk in industrial plants

A method, comprising:

• receiving one or more static inputs and one or more dynamic inputs, wherein the one or more dynamic inputs comprises a location of a human resource, a mobile resource, or a combination thereof;
• calculating a risk based on the one or more static inputs and one or more dynamic inputs, wherein the one or more static inputs and the one or more dynamic inputs are based on an industrial facility;
• and
• deriving a decision based on the calculation of the risk, wherein the decision comprises a determined level of the risk and is configured to aid in operations of the industrial facility.

A control system comprising:

• a risk assessment system comprising:
• a risk calculation system configured to calculate a risk based on one or more static inputs and one or more dynamic inputs received via a plurality of sensors, wherein the one or more dynamic inputs comprises a location of a human resource, a mobile resource, or a combination thereof, inside of an industrial facility;
• a decision support system (DSS) configured to use the risk to provide a decision based on the risk;
• and
• a controller configured to use the decision to execute a control action configured to control at least one component of the industrial facility.
