Abstract
The aim of the present invention is to provide a fluid composition that can form a coating, said composition being characterized in that it contains, at least in a solvent medium, an effective amount of at least one natural virucide selected from among lauric acid, monolaurin, lactoferrin and essential oils having antiviral activity and/or one of the precursors thereof, said composition having a viscosity of 30 mPa·s to 40 Pa·s at room temperature and pressure.
Claims24
A fluid composition capable of forming a coating comprising:
- an effective amount of at least one virucide selected from the group consisting of lauric acid, monolaurin, lactoferrin, essential oils having an antiviral activity and precursors thereof;
- wherein the composition has a viscosity between 30 mPa·s and 40 Pa·s, at room temperature and ambient pressure.
A method of coating a surface of a support with a virucidal layer comprising:
- providing a support having a surface to be treated and
- applying a fluid composition having an effective amount of at least one virucide to the surface of the support;
- wherein the virucide is selected from the group consisting of lauric acid, monolaurin, lactoferrin, essential oils having an antiviral activity and precursors thereof;
- wherein the composition has a viscosity between 30 mPa·s and 40 Pa·s, at room temperature and ambient pressure.
A support having a virucidal coating prepared by a process comprising the steps of:
- providing the support having at least one surface to be treated;
- and
- applying a fluid composition containing an effective amount of at least one virocide to at least one surface of the support;
- wherein the virucide is selected from the group consisting of lauric acid, monolaurin, lactoferrin, essential oils having an antiviral activity and precursors thereof;
- wherein the composition has a viscosity between 30 mPa·s and 40 Pa·s, at room temperature and ambient pressure.
