Abstract
A method for establishing connectivity for a mobile device including a plurality of communication interfaces is provided. A power state of the mobile device is monitored. A first one of the communication interfaces is selected based on the power state. Connectivity is established to a remote network using the first communication interface.

In a mobile device, a method comprising:
- detecting, at the mobile device, a location of the mobile device;
- and
- attempting to establish a connection with a network selected from a plurality of candidate networks available at the location based on previous connection usage associated with the location.
In a mobile device, a method comprising:
- in response to detecting the mobile device does not have a network connection at a location, establishing an initial connection with an available network without prompting a user;
- and
- while at the location and while the initial connection is established, attempting to establish an improved connection with another available network.
A mobile device comprising:
- at least one communication interface to provide network connectivity;
- and
- a connection manager to attempt to establish a connection with a network selected from a plurality of candidate networks available at a location of the mobile device based on previous connection usage associated with the location.
